Ben is a co-founder of Agaric Technology Collective, a web development and consulting co-op using libre software to give people and groups control over their online communication and web presence.

To further help all people gain power over our own lives, prerequisites for justice and liberty, he volunteers at a not-for-profit called, and for, People Who Give a Damn, which is building the Visions Unite platform.

He led 34 authors in writing the Definitive Guide to Drupal 7.  More recently he has been helping chase ICE out of Minneapolis, and hopes newfound community may help organize against the other ongoing genocidal activities of people in power around the world, too.
